You are coming to this conference to learn, right? Well, we will deliver! Panels of camp admins and group discussions will encourage peer-to-peer learning. Workshops will allow for hands-on-learning (bring your laptop!). And of course, we will teach new concepts, lecture-style. While there are sessions for everyone, you will find that most are tailored for new user to intermediate users.
As always, there will be plenty of opportunities to meet with a Brainer for a one-on-one session to dig into your CampBrain setup.
During BRAINSTORM, there will be 3 or 4 simultaneous sessions to choose from – no easy feat! We have created 4 different streams that you can use to focus your attention where it is needed to make the most of BRAINSTORM.
Your business revolves around data: t-shirt sizes for your merchandise orders, camper demographics for marketing, revenue and payment summaries, or camper numbers for staffing needs. Behind every decision you or your team make is a piece of data, so it is vitally important to know and understand how to get that data out of CampBrain.
Sessions include:
• Ad Hoc Reporting
• Introduction to Reporting
• Introduction to Custom Fields
• Introduction to Financial Reporting
New User sessions will teach you the CampBrain basics and set you on a path to success. Starting with a four-part session series, the new user stream will cover how to configure and navigate CampBrain. (We consider a new user someone who has not set up a season.)
Sessions include:
• Building a Season
• Creating Person Forms
• Online Registration
• Camper Management
As the camp administrator, you have a lot going on: season configuration, camper communication, household account management, registration changes and troubleshooting, etc. There isn’t anything you can’t do and, if you could, you’d attend all BRAINSTORM session. This stream focuses your attention on everything client-facing.
Sessions include:
• Assisting Parents Through the Registration Portal
• Creating Awesome Emails
• Love Your Reports
Your focus is on the big picture items: policies, process, business, and safety. You need to know what works, what doesn’t, and how to make things smooth and efficient for you, your team and your registrants.
• Key Metrics to Run Your Conference Center
• Staff Panel
• Data and Growing Your Program
One-on-Ones are dedicated periods where you can sit with a Brainer to go over any questions or concerns. This can range from issues with your configuration, process improvements, and more. This face-to-face time is the perfect opportunity to get your questions answered and is the highlight for BRAINSTORM participants. Remember to sign up for a spot in advance!
“The CampBrain staff is amazing – everyone was helpful, engaging, thoughtful, warm and friendly. I could not have asked for a more welcoming environment for a camp conference. I would recommend the conference to anyone using the product – there is plenty of information so that whether you are new to the product or have been using it for a long time, you will leave with something valuable – not to mention the friendships and connections that can be made with colleagues.”
Wendy Fisher, YMCA Camp Sloper
We have not reserved a block of rooms at any hotel, but we have identified two hotels within a 5 minute walk of the conference location. The cost is around $350-400 (CAD) per night.

“The greatest asset of CampBrain, besides their elegant software, is their supremely talented and hospitable staff. Everyone was welcoming and interested in talking and learning from the other conference attendees. Their love of their product is evident. Seeing so many long-time clients as well as first-time clients at the conference was evidence that CampBrain has both a solid foundation of support and a vibrant energy to propel them – and the camps they support to an exciting new frontier in camp administration.”
