It has become an annual tradition that our team (+ families) go to camp in September for a weekend. We like to choose a different camp each year and, this year, we went to Camp Oconto. Admittedly, with most of our team having long, loyal camp backgrounds, choosing the camp can be tricky!

We have had a long relationship with Oconto as a client, several of their alumni as team members here over the years AND they also make beautiful paddles, which we use for the Camp Administrator Hall of Fame and to honour our folks internally as a 5yr gift.

We had a fabulous weekend at Oconto. The weather was amazing – we spent a good chunk of our time on the docks, swimming, diving, kayaking, canoeing …and just sitting around. We were fed well (wow, those were amazing cinnamon buns!) and there were some late nights.

I individually meet with everyone in the company during the summer to see how they are doing, how we are doing as a team, etc. and this event comes up constantly as the highlight of the year. It provides stories and laughs for a long time and our experience this year was no different!  It also provides an opportunity to get away from our desks and computers and, even though it is just a weekend, build stronger, deeper relationships together. We are a close-knit crew and going to camp contributes heavily to that spirit. Here’s to camp! 🙂

Thanks to Lisa, Bruce and the Oconto crew for taking such good care of us – you helped us rejuvenate, relax and have some fun! Check out our Facebook page for some pictures!
